I have a large PDF file (around 180 MB) that contains images. I need to upload it to a client portal, but the website only accepts files up to 25 MB. I tried using a couple of free online PDF compressors, but the file either didn't shrink enough or the document quality became too blurry to read. Since the PDF contains important business records, I also don't feel comfortable uploading it to online services.
I recently used SysTools PDF Toolbox, and its PDF compression feature worked well for me. It reduce PDF file size significantly while keeping the text and images readable, and I could process the file offline, which was a big advantage for privacy. I'm curious if anyone has found other reliable methods or software for reducing PDF size without losing quality. Have you had good results with any free desktop tools or built-in PDF applications?
