Hello everyone! Have you checked out FOSSVPS? This organization is giving away free VPS servers for people who want to learn or test things out on the Internet. In the last two months, they have given away 47 VPS in London, Los Angeles, and Chisinau. Last month, they gave away 34 VPS - they are moving quickly!
• Learning Linux or an operating system
• Testing software or a small project
• Having fun with a server at no cost
Everything is open source meaning you can modify and customize the servers however you want. If you want a safe testing ground, this is it!
• OnlyServers (London)
• Fmxm (Los Angeles)
• Alexhost (Chisinau)
Along with the regular support staff, we also have volunteers. For the most part, people set up the server, monitor it, and assist the newer users. Some people even install the VPS for you! It is incredible what a small group can accomplish!
• You are welcome to use VNC or PXE boot to install a different OS
• You can start, stop, and restart your VPS whenever you want
• Resource allocation on the node (CPU, memory, and disk) is monitored closely with frequent inspections.
Have you ever wanted to do some testing on a real server? Then check out FOSSVPS!
