AlmaLinux OS is an open-source Linux operating system, that fills the gap left by the discontinuation of the CentOS Linux stable release. It is sponsored mainly by CloudLinux Inc. 'Alma' stands for 'Soul' in Spanish. Developers claim that it is the soul of Linux platform.
Latest available version is AlmaLinux 9.
There is a good news for users of CentOS. Switching from CentOS to AlmaLinux is easier unlike Linux which is a cumbersome job. Developers of AlmaLinux claims that you can port an entire fleet of servers from CentOS to AlmaLinux by using a single command.

It is a free and open source for all sorts of users and developed by the same developers who gave us Linux. Everyone is aware of the performance of Linux CentOS. However the customer support remains under question and time will tell how it goes on.
