Have you ever observed a small business grow up to something big in real time? That is what has happened with Leapswitch Networks. They celebrated 15 years of business in 2025, an inspirational story in real time that is.

I stumbled across a mention of Leapswitch years ago on a web hosting forum; they were a small business providing affordable and reliable hosting from India. Today, Leapswitch is a global hosting provider with servers in India (plus the USA & Europe). What a journey!

Where it all started

Leapswitch started as a reseller business; reselling other companies’ server hardware to host client websites. Gradually they began building their own infrastructure.

Lacehost is what Leapswitch was known to me back in 2006, and became Leapswitch in 2010, and today is one of India's most recognized hosting companies.

To commemorate its 15-year anniversary, the entire team of over 60 employees gathered for a large celebration in Goa. Some engineers were even online for the occasion, celebrated while still keeping an eye on customer activity in case there was any customer downtime. True commitment!

Here is a summary of Leapswitch's offerings today

Cloud Servers (CloudPe) - They built their own cloud platform utilizing OpenStack and offer hourly billing and API use.

Dedicated Servers – They use name-brand servers, mostly Dell, HPE, and Lenovo, and also offer GPU servers.

CloudJiffy PaaS - A simple hosting platform for developers to host their apps without worrying about infrastructure and management.

Data Centers – They have 3,000+ servers in India, US, and Europe.

Team - They have over 100 full-time employees in various metropolitan cities in India.

What’s Next for Leapswitch

They are not going to slow down. Here’s what they are working on next:

• Expanding CloudPe into new cities such as Delhi and Chennai, and further expansion into the US and Europe.
• Launching GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) - using chips like A100, L40S, H200 and other powerful chips.

What Fuels Their Drive

A few things that pop out for Leapswitch:

• They honestly and truly put people first, technology second - you do not see that as much in this hosting space.
• They have grown slowly, incrementally, without over-promising
• They are still close to their roots in India.

Final Thoughts

Leapswitch's story demonstrates that steady-state growth is far more effective than shinier marketing. They have transformed from a small-scale reseller into a global hosting provider step by step on trust, people, and reliability.

Their bigger intentions on expanding globally and providing cloud-based services and GPU hosting show that they are ready to grow even bigger on the world stage.

Very impressive! Who would have thought a small reseller from India would now be a significant player in just 15 years?
