Choosing a web host is tough. You want a host that has an affordably price point, but you also don't want something that's slow or too difficult to use. Two popular options are Hostinger and IONOS. Let's take a look at which one offers a better deal in 2025.

Hostinger: Simple and Cheap

If you're setting up your first website, Hostinger is a good option. It's simple, quick, and inexpensive. I used it to host my personal website and the control panel was extremely user friendly. If you are a nontech, you should have no problem figuring it right away.

Why you should choose Hostinger:

• Low price compared to most other hosts on the market
• Free domain and SSL included on many plans
• Speed is lightning fast with LiteSpeed servers

• Easy to use dashboard for first-time users

The biggest downside to them is the fact that there is no phone support, only live chat support. Honestly, I found chat to be more than sufficient for my needs, but others may prefer phone support.

IONOS: Best for Business

IONOS is more for business sites. The price for the first year is extremely low (even as low as $1/month at times!). IONOS also includes email hosting, SSL, and a free domain. They even provide phone support 24/7 which is nice.

Why IONOS is great:

• Super cheap first year
• Good security features
• Includes business email
• Phone and chat support any time

However, the system isn’t as easy as Hostinger and renewal prices go up a ton. More for business owners than absolute beginners.

What should you pick?

Here’s your straightforward answer:

• Hostinger = Best for blogs, websites, and beginners (cheap, speed, easy).
• IONOS = Best for business websites (additional tools, phone support, better security).

Consider this:

• Hostinger is like street food - very cheap, fast, and simple.
• IONOS is like a restaurant - you’re getting more service, but it may take some extra work and money.

Conclusion

For personal blogging, I’d go Hostinger. If I were running a company website, I’d go IONOS. I believe they are both good value, although the “better” host will depend on your needs.
