Have you ever considered what it would be like if some of the world's leading experts in cybersecurity assembled in one place? Well, Ireland is about to do just that. From October 7 to 9, Dublin and Kilkenny will serve as the host of a three-day Cyber Summit, where your team of Irish cybersecurity companies and international buyers can establish partnerships and exchange ideas with each other. This is more than just an event. This is an opportunity for real connections and actual solutions.
Cybersecurity Growth in Ireland
Did you know that Ireland has more than 140 cybersecurity companies and employs over 8,000 people? Irish companies are doing fantastic work in artificial intelligence-based threat detection, identity management, addressing vulnerabilities, and data protection. Ireland is a global hub for cybersecurity, and the summit is demonstrating this perfectly.
What to Expect at the Summit
The summit is truly international. Delegates from the financial, health care, and telecommunications sectors are traveling from the UK, Europe, and beyond to meet with 18 Irish cybersecurity firms, including Tines, Integrity360, Daon, CWSI, Siren, Triangle, Cytidel, and UrbanFox.
Enterprise Ireland advisers located in London, Milan, Tokyo, Stockholm, and Sydney will also assist these visitors to convey Ireland's commitment to support its businesses in global scaling.
Day Three: CINC25 Conference
The closing day will be Cyber Ireland’s National Conference (CINC25) at Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny. Over 500 representatives and leaders from industry will attend to hear about Ireland’s cyber strategy, EU regulations, and trends in cybersecurity worldwide. Featured speakers will include Dave Ahn from Centripetal Security and Dennis Chow from UKG.
Supporting Startups and SMEs
Enterprise Ireland is also focused on innovation across their programs. Initiatives like CyberInnovate at Munster Technological University, and The Collaboratory at TU Dublin support startups and SMEs testing new cyber technologies, enhance security, and help create more resilient businesses. SMEs can also receive supports to aid in profesional cyber reviews to protect against hacks, comply with GDPR, and improve security plans.
Why this matters
Cybersecurity is evolving quickly. This summit demonstrates how Ireland’s cyber sector is expanding, innovating, and connecting to the globe.
For those in tech, business or incredibly interested, unique knowledge will arise in these events. Ireland is establishing itself as a global player for cybersecurity, and appropriately, these events are key locations where ideas turn into action.
