Bluehost is a reputed web hosting company. You will find that Bluehost is often marketed as an affordable web hosting option. Well it is of course reasonably priced, but it is certainly not the cheapest web hosting solution out there, especially for the price conscious customers. After doing a side-by-side comparison with Namecheap, I found that Namecheap more budget-friendly than Bluehost.
For example, Bluehost’s basic plan costs around $60 per a year. With this plan, you can host only one website. Namecheap, on the other hand, offers a starter plan for about $23, and you can host up to three websites. While renewal costs go up to $48, it’s still cheaper than Bluehost. However, with Bluehost if you pay years in advance, your cost can drastically come down.
Bluehost includes a free domain for the first year, whereas Namecheap doesn’t. However, Namecheap offers a domain on discounted price for first time customers. For instance, you can grab a .com for under $6, making the total first-year cost around $29. In terms of uptime, Namecheap claims 99.99% and offers live support. I haven't used Bluehost personally, so I can’t vouch for its uptime or customer service.
